   Hi Santosh,

   I have tried the above process and I have a problem now
   Kies says this version cannot be updated.

   Please help

   Current version pda jg4 phone jg4 csc jg4(XEE)

   Plese tell me wat to do now
   also is there any diff between official froyo uk and india ?

   hi santosh, can you help, i followed these instructions, now what happens is my phone boots up, and when it gets to the start screen saying swipe glass to continue it switches itself off. then automatically switches on then off endlessly

   If you do this though, it wont restore the kernel though will it?

   Im sure I’ve tried this in the past and the kernel had the word “root-” at the start, surely that’s a slight giveaway that it was previously rooted?

   hi just wanna confirm this cos my phone is curremtly running on android 2.2 its a uk phone i wanna update to 2.3.5 or something. i brought it brand new off of ebay by the firmware was irish for some reason lol. but now the firmware has started to break down i asked samsung and they said to take it to a shop with proof of purcahse but all i have is an ebay recipt. not sure what to do thanks for the adivce. oh the phones started to lagg badly and shuts down sometimes for some reaason even on a ful battery.
   current firmware is as follows
   I9000XWJPA/I9000OXXJP7/I9000XXJPK/I9000XWJPA
   thanks conatct me if you need any other info ect and thanks for da advice
   kies just says (your device does not support software upgrading via kies)
   i have not done any think to the phone as in flashing to or illegally installing firmware sooo please help

      I think you need to go with the ebay receipt and claim for a service first. The other thing you can try is to do a factor reset that would restore your phone to original condition. And then try using Kies.     hi…i have a problem for my phone samsung galaxy sl i9003..after i upgrade my phone 2.3.5 my apps 1 n1 gone…n now i cant restore my phone use factory setting or use kies but im upgrade my phone use the official firmware from kies…..pls help me…if i use restore on kies…the kies need code….i dont know where i can get that code….

    power it on by pressing ‘Power Button’+Home+Volume Down button simultaneously. it is doesn’t work 🙁 i don’t know what can i do…

       you have to hold it down between 5-15 seconds try that it will bring up a command line page kinda thing
